Concept Mapping
This week we learned how to make concept maps! The basic idea of a concept map is to get the basic 'concept' of the topic on the map and connect other ideas & topics that would go along with it. I think this is such a visual learning tool.
I think this tool will come in handy in my future in the classroom. I think the students will hopefully have as much fun as I did creating this map.
For my first map, the topic was Introduction to Earth Science. I am proud of myself in the outcome but if I had to change anything I would include less details on some of the main points to avoid it getting messy.
Here is my concept map!!
I had a three main topics I wanted to branch off of Earth Science. The spheres, the branches and what kind of work the scientist have to do.
There is a lot of information on this map and for next time, I would like it to include less verbiage and more straight to the point concepts. Overall, for my first map, I am very proud of myself. I used a website called creately. I like it so far and I plan to continue using this.
